The light box is a photo-aging photo-aging tester that simulates the ultraviolet light in sunlight and reproduces the damage caused by rain and dew. Tests are conducted by placing the test material in a controlled cycle of exposure to sunlight and moisture, and increasing the temperature. Ultraviolet fluorescent lamps simulate sunlight and simulate the effects of moisture by means of showers. Although ultraviolet (UV) only accounts for 5% of sunlight, it is the main lighting factor that causes the durability of outdoor products to decline. This is because the effect of the photochemical reaction of sunlight increases as the wavelength decreases. Therefore, in simulating the damaging effects of sunlight on the physical properties of the material, there is no need to reproduce the entire spectrum of sunlight. In most cases, only short-wave UV light needs to be simulated. The reason why the light boxes use UV lamps is that they are more stable than other lamps, and can better reproduce the test results.
The light box consists of a detection unit, a control unit, a cooling unit, a spray unit, a heating unit, and a UVA-340 lamp. In order to simulate sunlight throughout, the UVA-340 lamp will always be on during the entire test. In the test process, the key to control regulation is the constant temperature and humidity. The detection unit transmits the detected data (temperature, humidity) to the control unit (PLC or microcontroller). The control unit turns on the heating unit, the cooling unit (cold air blower) and the shower unit as needed to ensure a constant test environment inside the cabinet.
In addition, in agriculture, there is another use for the light box, which is to provide a more suitable growing environment for crops like the artificial climate room. Everyone knows that the natural environment such as illumination, rainfall, and temperature are uncontrollable. The light box provides an artificially simulated natural environment that allows you to artificially control the parameters such as illumination, temperature, and humidity, and is widely used in agriculture. In addition, similar to the light box, there is a precision seed germination box. Only the precision seed germination box is more suitable for the germination of seeds, and more precise control of the environment required for seed germination.
