In 2015, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology began implementing a special pilot demonstration project for smart manufacturing. To date, 15 companies in Shandong Province have been included in the national pilot demonstration. In order to further promote the development of smart manufacturing, Shandong Province has also formulated an implementation plan for the demonstration of intelligent manufacturing pilots. According to the relevant arrangements, in addition to the 15 state-level smart manufacturing pilot demonstration projects relying on enterprises, Shandong Province has been recommended by local governments and reviewed by experts.
