Daming Heavy Industry's "Ω" chemical tanker was successfully trial-produced

The "Omega" type thick chemical ship board produced this time, with thicknesses of 12mm and 13mm on both sides, will be used for the tank bulkhead of the chemical tanker. Because the prefabricated chemical ship board has the characteristics of super wide width, longitudinal joint splicing, Ω type (double Z type), and one-time bending after welding, in order to further verify the rationality of the prefabrication processing technology of the chemical ship ship board, Da Ming Heavy Industry cooperated in multiple departments, and finally all the indicators met the design requirements.

It is reported that the "Ω" type thick chemical ship board can reduce the welding construction difficulty of the front and rear of the chemical tank bulkhead, improve the welding efficiency and quality, and fully guarantee the quality of the wall forming. The successful completion of the trial production marked the further consolidation and enhancement of the deep processing capability of Daming Heavy Chemical's chemical ship board, and also provided technical support for the later batch processing of “Ω” type ship plates.
